It became a significant site. It was classified as a National Historical and Cultural Relic on December 27 1990.

Chùa Thanh An has been restored multiple times. It retains much of its original Nguyen-era architectural style. The main gate though is undergoing expansion. A tall octagonal tower is being added. The temple’s interior is equally fascinating. The main sanctuary houses a trio of Buddhas. There are also statues of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara. There are also several Buddhist deities. Twenty-one stelae stand within the temple grounds. Sixteen of these are commemorative. They were erected during the Lê Dynasty. They honor local officials. They also commemorate generous donors. A large bronze bell dating from the Tây Sơn Dynasty completes the ensemble. This bell features the inscription ‘Cảnh Thịnh’.
