“Adventure awaits. Are you ready to experience the Philadelphia Zoo like never before?” That’s the question WildWorks Ropes Course poses to every visitor. WildWorks isn’t just another ropes course. It’s a chance to see the zoo from a thrilling new perspective.

WildWorks opened on May 7. It quickly became a popular attraction. Guests can cross bridges and balance on ropes. They climb through obstacles. A zip line offers a quick descent from 34 feet above the ground. Safety is key. Climbers are always hitched to a climbing harness.

There are actually two courses at WildWorks. One is for adults and experienced climbers. The other caters to kids. Even the little ones can join the fun. The WildWorks “Sky Tykes” system allows children under 48 inches to explore. It mimics the larger course.

WildWorks isn’t included in the general zoo admission. Tickets range from $4 to $10. But an unlimited attractions day pass is available. It costs $18 to $20. This pass includes access to all zoo attractions.

The course takes about 20 to 25 minutes to complete. But allow extra time. Ticket purchases, safety briefings, and harnessing all add to the experience. Plan for about an hour from start to finish. Empty your pockets. Wear closed-heel shoes.

WildWorks gives people a chance to see the zoo from a new aerial perspective. Much like the Zoo360 system of trails and tunnels, WildWorks adds a new dimension to the zoo. Each visit can be unique. Guests explore at their own pace. They pick their own path. There are different levels of challenges. These challenges vary in difficulty for adults and children.

WildWorks is one of several new additions to the Philadelphia Zoo. The ZooKey returned. The life-sized LEGO exhibit “Creatures of Habitat” debuted. The Urban Green food marketplace opened.

Amy Shearer, the Zoo’s Chief Marketing Officer said that it’s an exciting time for Philadelphia and the Zoo. WildWorks is one of four new exhibits and attractions that were launched in less than eight weeks. There is something new around every corner of the Zoo.

WildWorks is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day the zoo is open. The ropes course is sponsored by Independence Blue Cross.

So, step right up to WildWorks Ropes Course. Get ready to climb, balance, and zip your way through an unforgettable adventure. See the Philadelphia Zoo from a thrilling new height. Just remember to breathe. And enjoy the view.
