Engulfed in flames, it became an unintended spectacle. Sixty firefighters battled the blaze that illuminated the night sky. The school, originally slated for demolition as part of a modernization program, was dramatically expedited by the fire. Now, imagine the students of Trinity High, temporarily displaced. They found a new, albeit temporary home, at the old Holy Cross High School in Hamilton. This wasn’t just a simple move, it was a whole school community uprooting and adapting. Trinity High School wasn’t just a building. It was a community of students, teachers, and staff. Their spirit remained unbroken. They continued their education despite the disruption. The current Trinity High School building, opened in 2009, stands as a testament to their resilience. It’s a modern facility shared with a council-run sports center, offering a vibrant hub for learning and activity. The school, established in 1971, serves Rutherglen and Cambuslang. It carries a rich history. It provides a Catholic education but welcomes students of all faiths. The school motto, “Home, school, church, stronger together,” reflects its commitment to community. Trinity High offers a diverse range of after-school clubs. It even hosts an awards ceremony to celebrate student achievements in academics and sports.
