STIKES Mitra Bunda Persada began as Akademi Keperawatan Mitra Bunda Persada in 2002. The Ministry of National Education issued the decree No. 243/D/O/2002. This marked its humble beginning.
In 2009, STIKES Mitra Bunda Persada underwent a transformation. It gained STIKES status. Two new study programs were added. These were DIII Midwifery and S1 Nursing. This expansion showed its commitment to growth.
2014 marked another milestone for STIKES Mitra Bunda Persada. Two more study programs were introduced. These were the Ners Profession Program and the S1 Pharmacy Program. The Ministry of Education and Culture RI issued decrees for both. The numbers are 301/E/O/2014 and 179/E/O/2014. The S1 Pharmacy Program was the only one in Batam at the time.
STIKES Mitra Bunda Persada is under the Harapan Bunda Foundation. This foundation also supports the Harapan Bunda Hospital. This connection provides students with practical experience.
