But look closer at the churchyard. Near the cemetery wall, five monolithic sarcophagi stand as silent sentinels, their presence a stark reminder of the people who once walked this earth. Dating back to the early Middle Ages, they hold an air of mystery. One sarcophagus, with its slightly curved side, bears a carved coat of arms and a circular cross, hinting at a noble lineage lost to time.
