Tucked away on Côte-des-Neiges Road, the United Pentecostal Church of Montreal holds a unique story. This isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to faith, migration, and the power of community. The United Pentecostal Church first opened its doors here in 1996. Its founder, Pastor Fidel G. Valenciano, brought his vision to life in this bustling city. He had graduated from the Apostolic Center for Theological Studies in Quezon City, Philippines at just 19 years old. Then he emigrated to Montreal, a journey that led him to establish this vibrant congregation. Today, the church stands as a beacon for the local Pentecostal community. It offers a variety of services. These include lively Sunday services filled with song and preaching, both in the morning and evening. Midweek Bible studies provide deeper dives into scripture. The church also hosts youth services on Fridays. These gatherings, known as the “Kingdom Minded Warriors,” offer a dedicated space for young people aged 12 to 35. Saturday evenings are devoted to prayer meetings, inviting all to join in collective worship and reflection. The United Pentecostal Church also embraces the younger generation with its children’s programs. A Sunday school caters to children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. A separate “Prayer Club” and “Kids Praise” group engage children aged 2 to 11 in learning about prayer and worship through a biblical lens. The United Pentecostal Church of Montreal is more than just a place of worship. It’s a spiritual home, nurtured by Pastor Valenciano’s vision and the dedicated community that thrives within its walls.
