Beneath the vast Nevada sky sits Coleman Park. It’s a four-acre oasis in Las Vegas, found at 6336 Carmen Blvd. Coleman Park offers a welcome respite from the city’s vibrant energy. This park, open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., is one of 75 parks managed by the City of Las Vegas. Coleman Park provides a playground for children and a jogging/walking path for those seeking exercise or a peaceful stroll. The park’s location, near Vegas Drive and North Jones Boulevard, makes it a convenient spot for locals and visitors alike. While Coleman Park doesn’t offer sports fields or a dog park, it focuses on providing a relaxing environment. Visitors can enjoy the playground, the path, or simply the beauty of the surroundings. However, it’s important to remember the park rules. These rules are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone. Alcohol is prohibited unless you have a permit for a park pavilion or special event. Glass containers and amplified music (without a permit) are also not allowed. Adults must supervise children in the play area. Permits are required for group picnics and the use of sports fields (in other parks). A variety of other activities are also prohibited. These include golfing, digging (except surface finds), staking tents, flying remote-control airplanes (except boats in designated areas), and starting fires (except in provided barbecues). The park prohibits lodging in vehicles, camping, and unleashed dogs (except in designated dog parks). Park visitors are expected to clean up after their dogs. Other animals require special permits. Fireworks, firearms, and other weapons are strictly forbidden, as is smoking near children’s play areas or sports fields. The City of Las Vegas takes these rules seriously. Violations can result in fines or even criminal prosecution. So, relax, enjoy the fresh air, and appreciate the tranquility of Coleman Park. Just remember to respect the rules and regulations to ensure a pleasant experience for all.
