The Osaka Municipal Abeno Library is a branch of the Osaka Municipal Libraries. It is in Abeno Ward in Osaka. The library opened in 1975. It moved and was renovated in 2002.
The Abeno Library is on the third floor of the Abeno Ward Community Center. The building also has residential space. The library has a floor area of 1466.83 square meters. The reading room is 786 square meters.
The Abeno Library has a large collection. As of March 2022 it included over 103074 books. This is split between adult books and children’s books. It also holds 115 magazine titles and 16 newspaper titles. The library also has over 1931 CDs and 257 DVDs. Patrons can also access 579 paper picture shows.
The Abeno Library allows people to borrow items. You can borrow up to 15 items at a time. This includes up to 5 CDs DVDs or cassettes. The loan period is 15 days.
The library is easy to get to. Take the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line or the Abeno Line to Abeno Station. Then exit west. The library is a short walk away.
The Abeno Library also serves as the Osaka City No 8 Textbook Center. The library keeps textbooks for elementary junior high and high schools.
