Universal Learning Academy began in 2004. Nawal Hamadeh founded it. The school initially had two campuses in Dearborn Heights. In 2011, ULA opened its current campus in Westland. It consolidated all grade levels.
At Universal Learning Academy, students learn Arabic in grades K-5. ULA’s sports teams are known as the Blue Jays. They compete in soccer, volleyball, and basketball. The school colors are blue, gold, and white.
