Image Fantôme was born in 2019 from the shared passion of two individuals: Ben, a graphic designer and silkscreen artist, and Esther, a communications consultant. They combined their talents to establish a creative agency in 2018. A year later, their vision expanded, giving birth to Image Fantôme at 55 rue de la Tulipe. Image Fantôme translates to “Ghost Image.” This name reflects the ethereal nature of Ben’s artwork. His pieces explore themes of architecture, nature, and urban art, not through direct representation, but through an evocative interpretation of memories and sensations. He transforms fleeting moments into tangible visuals. The gallery’s focus is on printed images. It serves as both a shop showcasing a curated selection of prints and a working studio where the magic of silkscreen printing comes to life. Ben’s artistic process incorporates a distinctive textural element. Through silkscreen printing and other techniques like risography, he layers colors, creating intricate textures and a rhythmic vibrancy in his work.
