Nuevo Concilio Apostólico

A ribbon cutting. A new beginning. The Nuevo Concilio Apostólico Denver Metro opened its doors in April 2016. The District Apostle Leonard Kolb, leader of the New Apostolic Church USA, inaugurated the building. He cut a symbolic red ribbon. The expectant community poured in behind him. He shared a thought-provoking verse from Hebrews 3:4: “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” The Nuevo Concilio Apostólico Denver Metro became their spiritual home. This wasn’t just any church. It was a flagship congregation. It served a large area around Denver, including Northglenn and Littleton. These three congregations merged in 2014, creating a need for a central location. Denver Metro, with “Metro” signifying its broad reach, was the perfect solution. Denver, the capital of Colorado, boasts over 600,000 residents. Its metropolitan area encompasses over 2.5 million people. The Nuevo Concilio Apostólico provides a place for worship, religious education, seminars, and community gatherings. District Apostle Kolb’s sermon echoed the significance of this space. He referenced 2 Corinthians 5:1, speaking of a “house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” He emphasized that the true purpose of the Nuevo Concilio Apostólico is to serve God. It’s a place for worship, hearing God’s word, and receiving the sacraments. The dedication wasn’t the only event that weekend. The District Apostle arrived on Saturday to a surprising snowfall. Just two days prior, the temperature reached a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius. He spent the afternoon with the church leadership, including the real estate and transition teams. They acknowledged the effort put into finding, acquiring, and preparing the new location. Saturday evening concluded with a moving worship service at the old church building. Music, readings from Psalms, and reflections filled the air, preparing hearts for the new beginning. The Nuevo Concilio Apostólico Denver Metro even launched a website. It describes itself as a collection of congregations spanning Colorado, Utah, and Nebraska. It extended an open invitation to the community for an open house the following month.
