“Can a ministry truly transform lives?” That’s the question many ponder as they approach Life Ministry. Life Ministry began humbly over 40 years ago. It started in Ron and Joanne Highley’s living room in midtown Manhattan. Twelve people sought freedom from homosexuality. Their request sparked this ministry.
From this humble start, Life Ministry grew. The Lord guided it. It now offers counseling, prayer, deliverance, and support groups. Phone counseling, teaching, newsletters and love are also provided to thousands.
Life Ministry is grateful to God. They also appreciate the staff, board members, and courageous people working to be free. Friends who believe in this work are also valued. It is a privilege to handle the sacred truth. This truth sets people free from sin.
Many lives have emerged from deception and addiction. They have come into His marvelous light and truth. Life Ministry rejoices in this calling. They stand as people of God. They move by the power of His Spirit and the Name of Jesus to do this needed work.
Life Ministry is a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian ministry. It has offices in Manhattan for counseling and support group meetings. Counseling is free. Gifts to the ministry support it. They have spoken at colleges and churches. They also appeared on major television shows, both sacred and secular. Over the years, they have ministered to more than 1500 men and 400 women.
L.I.F.E. stands for Living In Freedom Eternally. They stand on the truth of complete freedom. This freedom is from the addictive bondage of homosexuality. Many marriages and grandchildren have resulted. These blessings come from those set free in this ministry.
Other ministries now use their teaching model. Life Ministry looks forward to more growth. Their book “Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment” was published in 2016.
Life Ministry welcomes visitors to their website. They are called to set people free from homosexuality. This freedom comes through the truth and power of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. They have been set free from years of bondage and emotional lies. You can be too.
Hundreds of people in midtown Manhattan have come for counsel and prayer. Their lives have been changed. God’s ways do not fail. He desires freedom and peace for us. Intimacy with God is the answer to all addiction. Homosexuality is a relationship addiction. The problem is removing blockages to that intimacy.
Some ministries teach that healthy same-sex relationships are the key. They believe this helps outgrow homosexuality. But Scripture says the opposite. 1 Peter 1:22 says to purify yourselves. Obey the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers. Love one another deeply from the heart.
Many in homosexual deception felt they loved someone. But they were using that person as a fix. It kept their emotions quiet. We need to learn how to love. Purify thoughts, minds and emotions until they obey the truth. Then we can love sincerely from the heart. Out of this comes freedom and godly friendship. The relationship with God is first. His love can motivate all other love.
Life Ministry offers teaching and testimony. This gives hope and direction to build a new life. God is with you. God Himself said He is married to the backslider. St. Paul was a blasphemer and a persecutor. He was a violent man. Yet, he was shown mercy by God. God’s mercy is new every morning. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
