“Reaching the most vulnerable.” That’s been the mission of Main Street La Roca since 1998. Main Street La Roca started its journey by focusing on Tijuana. It is still spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Main Street La Roca’s work began with Carlos Montoya. In 1998 he connected with drug gang members. He offered them friendship and support. Montoya invited them to church. He shared the message of Jesus Christ. Slowly, men wanted to change their lives. They desired freedom from addiction.
In 2000, this need led to the Rehab Ranch. From there, La Roca Ministries expanded. It added an orphanage, men’s shelter, and dump ministry. Today, Main Street La Roca has over eight ministry areas. These ministries meet the needs of people in Tijuana and San Diego.
Main Street La Roca San Diego has Sunday services. They take place at 10 AM and 11:30 AM. The church is located on Fenton Street in Chula Vista. José and Michelle Mayorquín are the directors of Main Street La Roca.
Main Street La Roca has many groups. These cater to different demographics. “Matrimonios que triunfan” focuses on marriages. “Aurora Mujeres” is for women 18 and older. “Hombres Escala” is a group for men 18 and older. “UNO Jóvenes” serves youth from 13 to 33.
