Shanquan is a town in Chengdu, Sichuan. It is located on NO 212 DASAN RD DUJIANGYAN QINGCHENGSHAN TOWN. In December 2019, Shanquan grew. Chadian Town and Wanxing Township became part of Shanquan Town.

Chengdu, where Shanquan is located, boasts a rich history. Humans settled here at least 3,700 years ago. The acknowledged history began in 367 BC. The city’s location hasn’t changed in over 2,300 years.

In 256 BC, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System was completed. This system controlled floods and irrigated the land. Chengdu then developed rapidly. It became known as a “land of abundance.”

During the Han Dynasty, Chengdu was famous for Shu Brocade. It also became a center for lacquerware and tea culture. The brocade industry boomed and the city was called Jin Guan City.

Today, Chengdu is a major industrial and cultural center. It has universities, museums, and historical monuments.
