The Saltikovsky overpass is located in the Balashikha city district. This construction aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the area. The project plans to finish in 2019.
The Minister of Government of the Moscow Region, Igor Treskov, held a meeting. They discussed the construction of the overpass over the railway. It is on the 5th km of the Balashikha-Saltykovka highway in the Balashikha city district. Vladimir Loktev, head of the Balashikha city district, also participated. Denis Tarasov, General Director of “GorKapStroy” LLC, joined them. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of Roads of the Moscow Region.
The contract to build the Saltikovsky overpass was signed in December 2016. The project realizes within the “Free Crossing” program. This is part of the Governor’s program “Our Moscow Region”. It ensures uninterrupted car traffic. It helps when crossing the Razinskoye highway with the railway tracks. This goes in the direction of Gorkovsky direction of the Moscow Railway.
The project includes building an 894-meter-long overpass. The total length of the facility is 1.1 km. The expected traffic intensity on the four-lane highway exceeds 3,000 cars per hour. The construction of the Saltikovsky overpass plans to be completed in 2019.
Currently, from 6 to 10 in the morning, the barrier at the crossing opens for transport. Emergency services can pass for only 30 minutes. The crossing is located on the Razinskoye highway. It goes through the center of Balashikha to Shchelkovskoye highway. It connects the Nosovikhinskoye highway with the M-7 Volga highway. In fact, the road serves as the main thoroughfare of Balashikha. Building the overpass will eliminate traffic jams. These jams paralyze the city.
Works on the construction of the Saltykovsky overpass in Balashikha are 95% completed. The facility plans to be commissioned next month.
