What if stones could talk? The Kirche Adelsberg stands before you. It is more than just stones. It is a testament to faith and community in Chemnitz.
The Ev.-Luth. Christuskirchgemeinde Chemnitz is important here. It formed in 2020. Adelsberg, Euba, Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain and Reichenhain joined. They wanted to enable meetings. They aimed to foster relationships. They extend invitations to believe in Jesus Christ. They embrace their responsibility in their districts. The name Christuskirchgemeinde shows their connection to Jesus. They want to serve Him. They invite others to follow Him.
Taizé prayers take place in the Kirche Adelsberg. There are also praise services with children’s church. The Kirche Adelsberg is a vibrant place.
The Kirche Adelsberg hosts special events too. These events include Jazz services and concerts. A cello concert dedicated to Hildegard von Bingen took place. Christina Meißner from Weimar performed. The Kirche Adelsberg creates moments of community.
The Arche-Beet project also took place here. It was titled “Alle in einem Boot” or “All in one boat”. There was a service for the project’s opening. People met at the church café afterwards.

Her focus is justice, peace, and creation care. The brass band held a public rehearsal there. A Johannis devotion took place at the Arche-Beet. The church choir sang together there. Finally there was a harvest thanksgiving service. It marked the Arche-Beet project’s end.
