Devoted to saving lives throughout Houston stands Vida City Church. Vida City Church exists as a beacon of hope. It serves the community with diverse ministries. These ministries meet the needs of the congregation in both Spanish and English.
Vida City Church’s story began humbly. It started in a home back in 1969 as Templo Aposento Alto. After three years, the growing church needed more space. It moved to a room in another church’s building.
The congregation continued to flourish. In 1972, the church purchased its own building on Lillian Street. Blessings flowed. In 1996, Vida City Church acquired its current building on W. Mount Houston Road. The sanctuary now accommodates 600 people.
Vida City Church added a Bible school. It is called Houston School of Ministry. People can learn the Word of God there. The church plans to expand its facilities. A larger facility with a family center is in the works.

JR’s vision is expansive. He wants to build a Youth Center. He dreams of My Friend’s House. These are apartments for the elderly and needy. He envisions a Spanish radio station. Also, he wants a Christian television station in Spanish for Houston.
