“Muzzano (M\u00fcssan in dialect lodigiano)” is a small village near Zelo Buon Persico, in the province of Lodi. It is a quiet, rural place, far from the bustling city of Milan. It has been around since the 12th century and was a small agricultural village in the County of Lodi. It was a commune until it was joined with Mignete in 1805 during Napoleon’s reign. But that was short-lived. In 1816, Muzzano had its own independence again for a short while, before ultimately being absorbed by Mignete in 1841. Mignete itself later became part of Zelo Buon Persico in 1869. You can see the history of the village in a way, when you look at its main attraction: The parish church dedicated to the Holy Martyrs Cosmas and Damian dates back to the Middle Ages.
