Rev. Dr. Verdieu Laroche joined the founding members. He became the church’s pastor. The current building at 397 Blue Hill Ave in Dorchester has a rich history. It was once a synagogue. The Jewish community called it Congregation Adath Jeshurun.

Adath Jeshurun used the temple from 1906. They provided space for the Jewish community. They also offered banquet facilities. Women and men sat together there breaking with tradition. They created youth programs.
