Fancy a family-friendly alpine experience? Welcome to the Latschenalm Krispl-Gaißau. This sunny and cozy hut sits at 1,407 meters above sea level. It is in the heart of the Spielbergalm-Gaißau-Hintersee ski area.
In winter, skiers can easily reach the Latschenalm with the Vierer-Sessel-Latschen-Alm-Bahn or the Anzenberg-Lift. Imagine gliding down the slopes and stopping for a warming drink. In summer, various hiking trails make it easily accessible for everyone. From the Spielbergalm parking lot, it’s just a 30-minute walk on a mostly flat path. Alternatively, hikers coming from Hintersee can reach it in two hours via the Anzenbergalm ski slope.
The Latschenalm Krispl-Gaißau is run by Angela Walkner. She offers cool drinks and traditional local dishes. The Latschenalm is open from about mid-May to the end of October during the summer season. In November, it depends on the weather. The hut is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer. During the ski season, the Latschenalm Krispl-Gaißau is open daily. You can enjoy your time without worrying about closing times.
Latschenalm also offers food to take away during opening hours. A breakfast is also available. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack or a hearty meal, you will find something.
