Established in 1962 Skyline High School stands proudly in Millcreek Utah. It’s a public high school welcoming students from ninth to twelfth grade. Skyline isn’t just any high school. It’s one of only seven in Utah offering the prestigious IB Diploma Programme.
The school’s history is rich with athletic achievements. Skyline’s football team the Eagles boast fourteen state championships. Their rivalry with Olympus High School for “The Rock” a football-shaped trophy is legendary. The competition is fierce. The rivalry is currently tied 27-27-1.
Beyond football Skyline excels in many sports. The school’s basketball team won state championships in 1976 and 1977. The women’s tennis team secured three consecutive state titles. The swim teams enjoyed a seven-year dynasty at the state competition. Lacrosse water polo and baseball teams have also achieved significant victories.
Academics at Skyline are equally impressive. The math team consistently earns recognition at state and national levels. In 2012 Skyline made history. They became the first high school globally to compete in SC’s Student Cluster Competition. They even received an honorable mention.
Skyline’s campus is undergoing a major renovation. The project started in 2019 and is slated to finish in December 2025. The new campus will include state of the art facilities. It will feature new fields courts a pool and a stadium.
Skyline High School is more than bricks and mortar. It’s a community a place where students thrive both athletically and academically. Its legacy of success continues to grow.
