Imagine the roar of the crowd at Burnbrae. This is where West of Scotland has played since 1952. Before that the club journeyed through several temporary homes. This was after its lease in Partick was canceled. The search for a new home was a long and challenging odyssey. Finally Burnbrae became the hallowed ground for West of Scotland.
The 1960s and 70s were a golden era. West of Scotland was a powerhouse. Up to ten internationals played at Burnbrae. Legends like Gordon Brown Peter Brown and Sandy Carmichael graced the field.
