Did the name “Cernica 2” ever cross your path before? Right here, before you stands Parohia Sfintii Trei Ierarhi – Pantelimon. It’s more than just a church. It’s a story interwoven with the Cernica 2 Cemetery. Parohia Sfintii Trei Ierarhi – Pantelimon, established in 2014, emerged from a split with Parohia Cernica. It took a sector of homes, administratively belonging to Pantelimon, under its wing. This included the church building itself, consecrated in 2000, and the adjacent cemetery, which began its life in 1997. This created a unique situation for the Cernica 2 Cemetery. All existing burial plot concessions, initially issued by Parohia Cernica, had to be transferred. They needed to be reissued by Parohia Sfintii Trei Ierarhi – Pantelimon. This intricate process ensured the concessions remained valid. It also allowed the new parish to collect the annual 100 lei per plot fee. This transition wasn’t just about paperwork. It was about updating records and creating a digital database. This database was essential for the cemetery’s organization and efficient administration. Imagine the meticulous work involved in contacting every individual listed on the original concessions. They had to gather updated information. This ensured accurate records for the newly formed Parohia Sfintii Trei Ierarhi – Pantelimon. Today, if you wish to contribute to the upkeep of a loved one’s resting place, you’ll need the updated concession document. You can present it at the administrative office during designated hours. They accept both cash and card payments. The church, however, welcomes visitors daily. Its doors are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Parohia Sfintii Trei Ierarhi – Pantelimon stands as a testament to the evolving history of this community. It’s a place where life and remembrance intertwine, overseen by the watchful eyes of the Three Hierarchs.
