This Art Deco masterpiece, completed in 1941, stands at the crossroads of GT Karnal Road and Roshanara Road. Ram Roop Tower was a gift to Delhi. A generous donation from Lala Ram Roop Vaish Aggarwal funded its construction. He even proposed the roundabout to manage the heavy traffic. The Municipal Committee of Delhi oversaw the project. A Paharganj contractor brought the vision to life, under the watchful eye of supervising engineer S.L. Gupta. The tower’s four clocks, once the timekeepers of this area, are now silent. They are set to be replaced with modern GPS-enabled counterparts. The tower itself will undergo a much-needed facelift. Imagine the tower illuminated at night, its facade glowing. Decorative poles and LED lights will enhance its beauty. Fountains will add a touch of serenity. The area around Ram Roop Tower will be transformed. This revitalization will honor the legacy of Lala Ram Roop. His tower, a testament to his generosity and foresight, will continue to guide travelers and residents alike.
