“Ready to unlock your potential?” This question seems to float in the air here at the University of Cebu – Junior High school Campus. The University of Cebu is a private school in Cebu City. It provides education from preschool to post-graduate levels.

Founded in 1964, the University of Cebu has grown. Lawyer Augusto W. Go and his group established what was initially called the Cebu College of Commerce. It later became Cebu Central Colleges. From a small college, it evolved into the University of Cebu.

The University of Cebu Junior High School is known for its affordable education. The University of Cebu has five campuses across Metro Cebu. One is the Main Campus along Sanciangko Street. Another is the Banilad Campus on Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue. The Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue Campus sits near the Mactan–Mandaue Bridge. The METC Campus is in Mambaling. Lastly, there is the Pardo–Talisay Campus.

The University of Cebu Junior High school department offers a regular class. There is also a special science class. The special science class focuses on STEM for gifted students. The University of Cebu also provides modern undergraduate and post-graduate programs. They even offer an MBA with a Major in Financial Technology.

UC offers robotics and AI in their high schools. The Main and Banilad branches offer the Arts & Design track. The Main branch also offers a Sports track.

The University of Cebu is known for more than academics. Its basketball team, the Webmasters, made history in 2010. They broke the University of Visayas’ winning streak. The Webmasters defended their title the next year. June Mar Fajardo and Brian Heruela from that team had successful professional careers.

The University of Cebu also excels in other sports. They won the men’s football tournament in 2010 and 2015. In 2014, they won six gold medals in taekwondo. 2017 saw them winning the dancesport competition. Weightlifter Elreen Ando won gold in 2019. She even competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The University of Cebu won the most medals in swimming in 2022. They won the men’s beach volleyball tournament in 2023.

The University of Cebu continues to adapt. It provides quality education and opportunities for its students. From humble beginnings, it has become a prominent institution. The University of Cebu shapes future leaders and innovators.
