The roots of Centro Evangelistico are intertwined with the Foursquare Church. The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel is a Pentecostal denomination. Aimee Semple McPherson’s ministry led to its creation. She inaugurated the historic Angelus Temple in Los Angeles on January 1 1923.
Following the opening of Angelus Temple the first branch church started in Long Beach California in October 1923. Soon churches appeared in Pasadena Santa Monica and Santa Ana. These four churches still operate today. Foursquare spread beyond the United States over time. Today it has churches in most of the 50 states including Hawaii and Alaska and around the world.
In 2015, the Foursquare Church had expanded into 140 countries. It had over 100 missionaries and missionary families worldwide. There were more than 64000 churches and meeting places. The church had over 8 million members and adherents.
Here at Centro Evangelistico services offer something for everyone. Families worship together. Children have classes tailored to their age groups. The main service is on Sunday. It starts at 10:00 a.m. There is also a service on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Prayer and intercession take place on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m.

Classes are available for children from preschool through sixth grade. They take place every Sunday and Friday. Each class includes worship Bible stories arts and crafts and snacks. Youth and young adult services happen every third Friday of the month.
A nursery provides care for babies and toddlers. Adult classes are also offered. These include foundational Bible studies. They also provide guidance for new life with Jesus.
