Dongwon’s history is deeply intertwined with this hall. Since 1969, Dongwon has grown from a fisheries company. It identified the value of the seas. In 1979, the Dongwon Education Foundation was established.
Later, Dongwon expanded into food. They launched Korea’s first canned tuna in 1982. By 2007, the Dongwon Leaders Academy opened. Dongwon acquired the U.S. No.1 tuna brand StarKist in 2008.
