Imagine the early days of Victory Gospel Chapel. In 1992, congregants gathered in a living room on Montana and Gevers. Bishop Banks and Prophetess Jackie Banks led the church. The Holy Spirit guided their every move. Evangelism fueled rapid growth. The living room soon became too small.
The congregation then met under a big tent for years. During this time, they prepared for expansion. Bishop Banks and Prophetess Jackie Banks prayed for a new sanctuary. Then one day, a steeple arrived. Bishop Banks declared a church would stand beneath it. By 1999, the new Victory Gospel Chapel sanctuary was completed.
Growth continued. By 2005, Victory Gospel Chapel expanded to its current size. Now, Victory Gospel Chapel is planning a new cathedral. It will be relocated. The 1603 Montana location will continue to hold midweek services.
