Highway Church began in 1995. Ps Byron and Ps Anne Graham were the pioneers. They had a vision. This vision was to create a family church with a missions heart. Highway Church now spans three locations. These locations include Ormeau, Gilston, and online.
Highway Church is known for experiencing God’s love. People find restoration here. The church aims to be the hands and feet of Jesus. They show God’s love. They build disciples in the community.
Ps Byron and Ps Anne Graham are passionate. They want to see individuals transformed. They also want to see families set free. This freedom comes through a personal relationship with Jesus. They are devoted to God’s promise for this house.
Highway Church has core beliefs. These beliefs are based on biblical truths. All teaching and ministry stem from these doctrines. They believe in one eternally existing God. This God exists in three persons. These persons are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created everything. He is worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love and power. He is also perfect in holiness and goodness.
The Highway Church believes God revealed himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. The Holy Spirit is active today. He empowers believers. He helps them witness Jesus. He also helps them live according to God’s desires. All spiritual gifts are available today.
Highway Church teaches that humans were created in God’s image. Adam and Eve were created without sin. They were caretakers of God’s creation. When they disobeyed God, they fell from grace.
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He died on the cross. He paid the penalty for our sins. God offers eternal life to those who follow Christ. Salvation is found in Christ alone.
The Church is the visible body of Christ. It glorifies God. It proclaims the gospel. Jesus Christ will return. He will judge the living and the dead. He will usher in God’s kingdom.
