A haven of remembrance rests before us. This is Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Established in 1953 it’s more than just a cemetery. Mount Sinai Memorial Park is a significant landmark in Los Angeles. It holds a special place in the hearts of many.

Initially part of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills it became exclusively Jewish in 1959. In 1967 Sinai Temple acquired it. Sinai Temple is the oldest and largest Conservative synagogue in Los Angeles. Mount Sinai Memorial Park offers a Genizah program. This ancient tradition allows for the respectful burial of worn sacred texts. School groups participate in burial services learning about this important practice.
