Stepping inside El-Bethel Prayer Centre in Ho, one can almost feel the weight of generosity. The air hums with a quiet energy, a testament to a remarkable act of kindness. El-Bethel Prayer Centre, a beacon of faith in the Ho Area of The Church of Pentecost, once extended its hand in a powerful way. In August 2020, during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre donated a substantial amount to the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho. This wasn’t just a small contribution. El-Bethel Prayer Centre donated items totaling a remarkable GH₵14,000. This included practical necessities like face masks, bleach, antibacterial soap, and tissue paper. But the centerpiece of their donation was a large, much-needed bus stop/shed placed right in front of the hospital. This provided shelter and comfort to those waiting, a tangible symbol of the Centre’s care. Apostle Moses K. Ahiakor, the Ho Area Head, presented the items, emphasizing the church’s commitment to supporting the hospital’s fight against the pandemic. The Director of Nursing, Innocentia Gborgloror, accepted the gifts with heartfelt gratitude. This act of generosity wasn’t just about material goods. It was a demonstration of faith in action, a testament to the El-Bethel Prayer Centre’s commitment to its community. The Centre’s leadership, including Elder Seth Yaw Peasa, a prominent figure in the Church’s Evangelism Ministry, ensured the donation resonated deeply within the community. El-Bethel Prayer Centre’s gift served as a reminder of the power of collective action and the importance of supporting those on the front lines during times of crisis.
