Thirty-three years ago I first walked through these doors. Unity of the Westside welcomed me then. It welcomes you now. This isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant community. A place where people find spiritual growth.

Unity of the Westside is a beacon of hope. It radiates love. It’s a place of affirmative prayer. Spiritual education thrives here. The core values are Truth Love Spirituality Sacred Service and Inspiration. These values guide everything. They shape the lives of those who gather here.

Five foundational beliefs form the bedrock of Unity. God is good and present everywhere. The spirit of God resides within each person. Our thoughts create our experiences. Affirmative prayer is powerful. It strengthens our connection to God. Finally knowledge isn’t enough. We must live these principles.

Rev Karol Scotta is the spiritual leader. She’s been here since 2017. She’s dedicated her life to this ministry. She completed her internship at the LGBTQ Center in Torrance. Jane Leonard serves as President of the Board of Trustees. She joined Unity of the Westside over 30 years ago. She raised her children with Unity principles. She’s served in many roles. She even gives guest talks.

Sunday services begin at 10 AM. Everyone is welcome. The church follows Los Angeles County Covid-19 guidelines. They offer a Revive Fund for members affected by fires. They believe in Jesus as a master teacher. They see him as a wayshower. They teach universal truths. They offer prayer chaplaincy ministries. Weddings and events are also held here. Classes and workshops enrich the community. Unity of the Westside offers far more than just Sunday service. It offers a spiritual home. It offers a place to grow. It offers a place to belong.
