Perhaps you’ve noticed the air of timeless glamour that permeates Cannes. It’s a feeling embodied perfectly by Le Majestic. This isn’t just a hotel. Le Majestic is a landmark on the Croisette.

Le Majestic’s story began in 1923. Construction started to create this Art Deco masterpiece. Architect Théo Petit led the project. He also designed the Hôtel Normandy in Deauville. By 1926, Le Majestic opened its doors. Only the east wing and main body were complete at that time. In 1928, architects Charles Nicod and Émile Molinié extended the central building. Maurice Debenedetti redecorated the interiors. Two floors were added in 1965. The façades were rebuilt in their original Art Deco style in 1990.

Le Majestic stands proudly near the Palais des Festivals. This makes it a favorite during the Cannes Film Festival. Film stars and celebrities have graced its halls for decades. Le Majestic exudes an atmosphere of glamour all year.

The rooms at Le Majestic are classically French. Most were renovated in 2009. Rich fabrics and antique-style furnishings create an elegant ambiance. Many rooms offer stunning views of the Mediterranean.

Le Majestic boasts three restaurants. One is the Restaurant de la Plage. Another is La Villa des Lys, where Chef Bruno Oger once earned two Michelin stars. Fouquet’s Cannes offers a luxurious brasserie experience. The Pianobar Bar du Fouquet’s is a perfect spot for a relaxing drink.

The hotel has 305 rooms. Twenty-three are suites with balconies. Most offer views of the sea. Le Majestic also provides a wealth of amenities. These include a sauna, hamam, jacuzzi, and fitness studio. There are shops, a travel agency, and car rental services.

Outside, a heated swimming pool awaits. A private sandy beach beckons guests to relax by the water. Watersports are available for the adventurous.

Don’t miss the Casino Barrière de Cannes Croisette. It features 290 gambling machines. Even the hotel lobby telephones have a unique touch. They ring with the main theme from Jacques Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann.”

Le Majestic belongs to the Groupe Lucien Barrière. Dominique Desseigne is the president. The hotel offers 17 halls for various events. These include conferences, receptions, and festive gatherings.

Le Majestic is more than just a hotel. It’s a symbol of Cannes’ enduring allure. It represents luxury, history, and the magic of the French Riviera. So, take a moment to appreciate the elegance and grandeur. Le Majestic is a true gem on the Croisette.
