Did you know that SK Taman Bukit Teratai opened its doors on June 1 2003? That’s right. Right here in this very spot stood a brand new school. It was a humble beginning with just 15 classrooms for students in years one through four. Mrs Junaidah bt Mohamed Noor led the charge. She was the headmistress. She guided those first young students. Think of the excitement. Think of the nervous energy. The school was just starting out. But it was full of promise.
SK Taman Bukit Teratai quickly grew. By 2005 it was fully operational. Mrs Lee Swee Lin took the helm as headmistress. She steered the school for several years. Her leadership was instrumental in shaping the school’s early years. She oversaw its expansion and development. It became a beacon of learning in Taman Bukit Teratai.
In August 2011 Mrs Nik Aziah bt Nik Yusuf became the new headmistress. She brought fresh energy and vision to SK Taman Bukit Teratai. The school had a clear vision: to be a leading school. It wanted to be excellent outstanding and renowned. This was its goal by 2015. The school also had a clear mission. Every student would master the 3Ms. The 3Ms are basic skills in Bahasa Malaysia. They are essential for future learning. The school also emphasized the importance of confidence. It encouraged students to become outstanding individuals.
SK Taman Bukit Teratai is more than just a school. It’s a community. It’s a place where children learn and grow. It’s a place where they develop a strong sense of community. The teachers foster respect among the students. They also teach the children to be devout and proactive. In 2009 the school had 737 students and 46 teachers. That’s a lot of people. In 2019 a motivational program was held for UPSR candidates. This is a crucial exam for students. Dr Ismail Zain a well-known motivational speaker spoke to the children. The program was a huge success. It aimed to inspire the students. It prepared them for the challenges ahead. SK Taman Bukit Teratai strives to achieve excellence in all aspects.
