CUAM Cancún, part of the Centro Universitario Anglo Mexicano, is more than just a school. It’s a launchpad for future leaders. Inaugurated in 1999, this institution, affiliated with the prestigious UNAM, offers a K-12 education through a partnership with Centro Escolar BALAM. CUAM Cancún is part of a larger network of schools. The first CUAM opened in Mexico City in 1974. Later, campuses sprung up in Cuernavaca and Mérida. Acapulco once housed a CUAM, renowned for its academic prowess, but sadly closed in 2009 due to rising crime. CUAM Cancún offers a unique bilingual, non-religious educational experience. Here, students are not just taught. They are challenged, inspired, and empowered. The CUAM model focuses on research-based learning and innovation. Over 70% of the faculty hold postgraduate degrees, crafting dynamic classes. These classes utilize readings, simulations, and controlled challenges to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. CUAM Cancún believes in nurturing the whole student, not just their academic abilities. They offer a rich array of extracurricular activities, including sports, cultural exchanges, and arts programs. The “InterCUAM” program fosters healthy competition and camaraderie through intercollegiate sports leagues and tournaments. CUAM Cancún also provides comprehensive student support through the SOI, the Service of Orientation and Integration.
