Have you ever wondered what lies beneath the surface? Today, we explore Huanglao Cave. It is a place of mystery and wonder. Huanglao Cave is a karst cave. It is located in the Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City in Hunan. This makes it a national 4A rated scenic area.
Since 1997, China Datong Co. Ltd. manages the Huanglong Cave scenic area. Previously, the Hunan provincial government managed it. Huanglao Cave attracts over a million visitors annually.
The Huanglong Cave scenic area includes Huanglong Cave Ecology Square. It was completed in 2009 by restoring the adjacent landscape. In 2010, the Zhangjiajie government constructed the Hallelujah Concert Hall. It serves as the centerpiece to the Ecology Square near the cave entrance. The hall features a grass-planted roof and cost 160 million Chinese yuan.
Huanglao Cave spans a total area of 48 hectares. The cave system extends 15 km in length. It divides into dry and wet levels. There are four levels with thirteen chambers. You will find three underground waterfalls here. Also, there are two underground rivers, three pools, and ninety-six passages. An underground lake also exists.
The largest chamber in Huanglao Cave covers 4,000 square meters. The highest waterfall reaches 50 meters. A guided tour takes about two hours. It even includes a boat ride down one of the underground rivers.
Huanglao Cave is located about 10 km from the Jindi Ground in the east of Suoxiyu Valley. Huanglao Cave is also called the underground magic palace. It covers 20 hectares. The cave features chambers and subterranean streams. Stone Fields Chamber and Stalagmite Chamber are the most fantastic. The stalagmite known as Sacred Needle for Stabilizing the Sea is unique in China. It is insured for a huge sum.

Huanglao Cave has four layers that are about 1600 meters high. There is one reservoir, two brooks, and three waterfalls. You will find four ponds, thirteen halls, and ninety-six passages. The Yellow Dragon Cave is 13 km in length. The biggest hall is 12,000 square meters. It can hold 10,000 people.
