Picture this a charming neighborhood nestled along the Neckar River. This is Neuostheim a Mannheim suburb. Its story begins in 1900. The independent community of Feudenheim decided to create a villa colony on the opposite bank of the Neckar. Five years later construction started. The first magnificent villas in Neuostheim appeared. In 1909 Neuostheim was incorporated with Feudenheim. Eight years after construction began the first citizens moved in. Simultaneously Neuostheim was connected to the tram network along Durerstrasse. This ensured easy access to the city center.
