Centro Cristiano de Amor y Fe started on May 26 1991. Its purpose was to glorify God. Pastors Oscar Gerardo Mina Saavedra and Elizabeth Vargas Vallejo founded it. They started in a family home in the San Fernando neighborhood. From the beginning, they saw God’s support with healings and miracles.
Soon the house was too small. The church rented a larger space in Santa Isabel. God continued to show His power there. The church grew again. Centro Cristiano de Amor y Fe moved to a bigger location near the south-eastern highway. This location filled with people. The church had to hold five Sunday services.
God then opened doors for Centro Cristiano. The church began to impact Cali. They held services in important places. These included the Jorge Isaacs Theater and the Sala Bethoven. They also used the Coliseo del Pueblo and the Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome. Many times they preached God’s word in these places. God confirmed their message with signs.
Later, Centro Cristiano rented one of the largest spaces in southern Cali. It had been a hypermarket. As the church grew in Cali, it also expanded to other cities. Today, Centro Cristiano de Amor y Fe has 30 locations nationwide. These are in Colombia’s main cities.
In Cali, the main church grew so much that five services weren’t enough. They increased to seven Sunday services. The church also expanded internationally. Centro Cristiano de Amor y Fe now has locations in Miami USA and Madrid. It also has five more locations throughout Spain. You can find them in Paris, London, Germany and Paraguay.
Centro Cristiano provides help to churches in the United States and Europe. It supports servants of God around the world. This fulfills the scripture in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus said to make disciples of all nations. They baptize them and teach them to obey His commands. He promised to be with them until the end of the world.
Centro Cristiano has achieved much. It continues to grow because of Jesus Christ. He is their Lord, Savior, and Pastor. All of this is for God’s glory. It is for the expansion of His Kingdom. The church is guided by the Holy Spirit. It obeys God’s word.
The main church in Cali has a radio station and a TV channel. It also offers online services. These resources share the message of Jesus Christ. They proclaim His name. It is the only name that offers salvation and eternal life.
