On August 10, 1977, a dream began to take shape. It was the dream of Engineer Fernando Soler and Luz López de Soler. They, along with a dedicated group of educators, established the Escuela Colombiana de Carreras Intermedias. Today, as you stand before the Universidad ECCI, you’re witnessing the physical manifestation of that vision.
Although initially focused on technical training with intermediate careers, Universidad ECCI’s trajectory took a significant turn. In 1978, the institution earned recognition from the Colombian Ministry of Education. This allowed them to introduce technology programs in fields like plastics, electro-medicine, industrial electronics, and automotive mechanics.
Over time, Universidad ECCI’s commitment to academic excellence propelled its growth. By 2014, years of hard work, dedication, and a constant pursuit of progress culminated in a momentous achievement. The Ministry of Education National formally recognized ECCI’s status, granting it the title of “Universidad” through Resolution 13370.
