The coat of arms of Hochtaunuskreis tells a tale of its blended heritage. It’s a split image. One side displays the red and white stripes of the Hessian lion, a nod to the Obertaunus district. The other side showcases the golden lion of Nassau, representing Usingen. Four bells chime from the Hessian side, a symbol borrowed from the Counts of Kronberg. Four trefoils sprout on the Nassau side, plucked from the Usingen city crest. This visual representation encapsulates the very essence of the Hochtaunuskreis.
