How about a journey to a town where history and modernity intertwine? This is Qiaozi. It is a town in the Huairou District of Beijing, China. Qiaozi is more than just a location. It is a vibrant tapestry of stories waiting to be unraveled.

Qiaozi sits in southern Huairou. It shares borders with several other towns. These include Bohai to the north and Miaocheng to the east. Beishicao and Xingshou lie to the south. Yanshou and Jiuduhe Towns are to the west.

Let’s step back in time. Qiaozi’s history is rich and varied. From 1948 to 1958, it was part of Huairou County in Hebei. Between 1958 and 1961, it became Qiaozi People’s Commune. This was within Huairou County, Beijing.

The administrative structure evolved. From 1961 to 1983, it was known as Chawu People’s Commune. Beizhai People’s Commune also existed during this period. The years 1983 to 1990 saw the rise of Chawu Township and Beizhai Township. From 1990 to 1998, Qiaozi existed as Qiaozi Town and Beizhai Township. Since 2001, it has been part of Huairou District, Beijing.

Today, Qiaozi administers 25 subdivisions. One is a community. The other 24 are villages.

Consider the names. Chawu Tielu Community stands out. As do Qian Qiaozi and Hou Qiaozi Villages. These names echo through time. They reflect the area’s unique identity.
