Northway Church is a non-denominational Christian community. It welcomes members from all church backgrounds or no background at all. You are welcome here no matter where you came from. Northway practices an evangelical tradition.
Northway Church believes the Bible is the Word of God. They believe it is inspired and inerrant as originally given. The church believes in one eternal God. This God exists in three persons. These persons are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Northway Church believes in Jesus Christ’s deity. They believe in His virgin birth and His perfect life. They also believe in His atoning death through His shed blood. Northway trusts in His bodily resurrection. They acknowledge His dominion at God’s right hand.
Northway Church emphasizes the Holy Spirit’s present ministry. They believe the Spirit empowers Christians to live godly lives. His baptism provides power for service. Northway anticipates the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will be resurrected to life. Those who have not known God will be resurrected to judgment. Northway Church recognizes the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus. They observe Communion or the Lord’s Supper. Northway anticipates Jesus’ personal return in power and glory. They believe He will receive His church.
Northway Church prioritizes worship. They consider prayer the touchstone of their power. Northway is driven by the gospel. It is the good news of Jesus. People place their trust in Jesus to reconcile them to God. The gospel shapes all they do. It is their foundation and fuel.
Northway Church feels compelled to serve the city. They seek the good of their community. The church aims to be a light in the darkness. Northway takes the Great Commission seriously. They make disciples in their community and worldwide.
Discipleship helps others follow Jesus. Northway wants to be disciples who make disciples. They have structures to help people know and love Jesus more. The Northway family has four cultural values. They gather intentionally as one. They connect authentically with others. The members invest selflessly. They invite others to love and trust Jesus.
Northway Church has ministry teams. They encourage members to serve. Lizzy Janecek is the Ministries Coordinator. She can help you find your place. Northway partners with local ministries. These include Interfaith of The Woodlands and PACN. They also support Compassion United and Star of Hope. Kairos Prison Ministry is another partner.
Northway also supports global missions. They partner with 127 Worldwide for orphan and widow care. They work with Sigua Village Impact in Honduras. The church also supports Acres of Hope Uganda. Rodney J. Mills is passionate about helping people. Lizzy Janecek serves God by serving people. Northway Church is helping to build a better world.
