\u8c4a\u4e2d\u5e02\u7acb\u685c\u585a\u5c0f\u5b66\u6821 has a rich history. It began in 1924. At that time it was established as Toyono-gun Kumei Daini Jinjo Elementary School. In 1935, a higher elementary school was added. The school’s name changed to Kumei Daini Jinjo Higher Elementary School.
In 1936, Toyonaka became a city. The school was renamed Toyonaka City Kumei Daini Jinjo Higher Elementary School. Then in 1941, a new law was enacted. It was called the National School Order. The school’s name changed again to Toyonaka City Sakurazuka National School.
After World War II in 1947, Japan reformed its education system. The school finally became Toyonaka City Sakurazuka Elementary School. In 1952, Minami-sakurazuka Elementary School opened. Some of Sakurazuka Elementary School’s district was changed.
\u8c4a\u4e2d\u5e02\u7acb\u685c\u585a\u5c0f\u5b66\u6821 was recognized for its excellence. In 1962, it received an award. The Osaka Prefectural Board of Education honored it. The school has expanded and improved over the years. A pool was completed in 1957. The lunch room was expanded the same year. In 1958, the auditorium was renovated. A pond was built in the courtyard.
