“Church is not about who you are but who you can become.” This statement encapsulates the spirit of The Potters House in Las Vegas. For nearly 40 years, The Potters House Christian Fellowship Church in Las Vegas has been sharing the gospel. The congregation has been bringing hope in Jesus. It has been serving the Las Vegas community.
The Potters House is a Bible-based spirit-filled family of believers. It passionately follows the words of Jesus. They go into all the world and share the gospel.
Let’s talk about the people who lead The Potters House. Pastor Scott Lamb surrendered to Jesus in 1974. He witnessed the changed lives of his father and friend. This happened during the Jesus People Movement. He had a radical conversion experience. It saved him from a hippie-drug-addiction lifestyle. As Pastor Lamb would say, it was “drugs, sex, and rock n’ roll.” He became a young man filled with the Holy Spirit. Pastor Lamb has been pastoring in Las Vegas since 2005. Before that he served in other locations. These include San Diego, Prescott, El Paso and Cortez. When he’s not preaching, Pastor Lamb plays guitar solos. He is the lead guitarist for the band “Flying the Bride.” He also plays for the worship band.
Pastor Mark Looney is the Associate Pastor at The Potters House. He prayed that God would lead him to a church. That prayer was answered in November 1982. The Lord led them to the grand opening of “The Potters House Christian Fellowship.” Still living for God after 40 years shows God’s faithfulness.
Pastor Chris Smart is the Assistant Pastor. In 2010, a friend invited Pastor Chris Smart to a church baptism. After seeing the personal transformation in a close friend, Pastor Smart began his journey to follow Jesus.
The Potters House offers services in both English and Spanish. You can attend services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. There are also evening services at 7:00 PM. Wednesday evening service is at 7:30 PM. Thursday service in Spanish is at 7:30 PM.
