Beneath our feet lies Chencun Station. It is more than just a stop on Guangzhou Metro Line 7. Chencun is a portal into a world where art and history intertwine.
Chencun station opened on May 1 2022. It marked the inauguration of the western extension of Line 7. This station is located underground. Find it at the intersection of Chencun Avenue and Baichen Road. It lies in Chencun Subdistrict Shunde District Foshan Guangdong Province.
Notice the station concourse. It is themed “The First Land of Enlightenment, Thousand Years of Flowers.” This theme celebrates Chencun Town’s identity as a “Millennium Flower Township”. Look at the walls and columns. They display bright colors. The ceiling features petal lines. These are all elements of Chencun Cymbidium.
Chencun Town is also the birthplace of the author of Three Character Classic. You can see some of its classic sentences displayed in the station. The station is decorated with the elements of Chencun Cymbidium.
Consider the station layout. There is a G Street level with Exits A and C. Level L1 is the Concourse. Here you find ticket machines customer service shops a police station and safety facilities. A transfer passageway to Chencun railway station is under construction. Level L2 contains the platforms. Platform 2 is for trains towards Meidi Dadao. Platform 1 is for trains towards Yanshan.
Exit A takes you to Chencun Avenue. Exit C leads to Chencun Avenue and Chencun Railway Station. Notice that Exit C is uniquely wide.
