Let’s explore the history of high schools in the Gangnam District. Chungdam High School is a public high school in Apgujeong-dong. It opened in 1990. Kyunggi High School is the oldest modern high school in Korea. It is also located in Gangnam District.
Chungdam High School boasts a list of notable alumni. These include Sungchan of Riize, Bang Chan, and Choi Hyun-suk of Treasure. Lee Dae-hwi and Nam Da-won also attended. In 2000, a commemorative stamp marked Kyunggi High School’s 100th anniversary. In 1910, it annexed Hansung Foreign Language School. It became Kyungsung First Middle School in 1911.
