The Community of the Beatitudes is part of a larger international organization. It’s a family within the Church. Father Nilson Leal de Sa the local superior is a prime example of this global reach. Having served in France Italy Africa and even Vietnam he now calls Denver home. He teaches Canon Law at St John Vianney Seminary. He finds joy in seeing Christ unite people despite their differences.

Sister Helene de Bodman another key member has been in Denver for six years. She was among the first in the Community to take religious vows alongside Father Jacques Philippe. She speaks of a great thirst for God in many people. She wants to help them drink from the living water that Jesus offers. Sister Sarah Mercier an intern coordinator shares a similar passion. She helps interns serve Jesus daily growing in faith freedom and fraternity.

Father Anthony Ariniello executive director is another fascinating figure. Born and raised in Colorado his journey includes studies at Notre Dame and in Rome Jerusalem and even a pontifical license in theological anthropology. His experience in Israel and Lebanon informs his work. He’s also involved with Beatitudes Missions which offers opportunities to “taste” the universality of the faith.

The Community of the Beatitudes in Denver is more than just a religious institution. It’s a living testament to faith community and service. It’s a place where people from diverse backgrounds and experiences come together to deepen their relationship with God and serve others. It is a place of peace and reflection a vibrant center of spiritual life in the heart of Denver. Its members share stories of faith and hope inspiring those who seek connection and spiritual growth.
