Ever wondered what a school designed to meet learners where they are looks like? That’s Building 21 Philadelphia. This innovative public high school is part of the School District of Philadelphia. It’s not just any high school. Building 21 is also a lab school within the Building 21 Network.

Originally, the concept for Building 21 came from three classmates. They were doctoral students at Harvard in the Education Leadership Program. Their class assignment sparked the idea. Through meetings and learning tours, they shaped their vision for Building 21.

The goal of Building 21 has remained consistent. The school wants to adapt to learners’ needs. It aims to help them pursue their passions. The school prepares students for college and careers. Building 21 believes its design is always evolving. It’s a constant process of building and improving.
