Founded in 1985, Hanami Foods Co., Ltd. stands as a testament to Thailand’s snack industry. This company didn’t just appear overnight. Its roots trace back to Friendship Co., Ltd., established in 1976.

Friendship Co., Ltd. began its journey with a vision. It aimed to become a leader in the Thai snack market. Over two decades, the company expanded its product line. Prawn crackers, corn chips, and cookies all emerged under brands like “Hanami,” “Ruaypuan,” “Arsenal,” and “Snack Jack.”

In 1987, Hanami Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Friendship Co., Ltd., officially began operations. A significant turning point arrived in 1990. Tohato Inc., a Japanese snack market leader, joined forces. The company then rebranded as Hanami Tohato Co., Ltd. This partnership launched the “healthy snack” concept. Snack Jack Green Pea Extruded Snack became a hit.

Hanami Prawn Crackers quickly gained popularity. They are made from prawn and nutritious ingredients. Children love them. Adults cannot get enough.

The year 2003 marked another shift. Friendship Co. bought back Tohato Inc.’s shares. Hanami Foods Co., Ltd. emerged. It stood as a fully Thai-owned entity with a registered capital of 60 million baht.

Hanami Foods Co., Ltd. employs over 160 people today. Its factory resides in Bangchan Industrial Estate. This estate is the first industrial estate in Thailand.

Friendship Co., Ltd., the parent company, employs over 700. Friendship Co., Ltd.’s factory is also located in Bangchan Industrial Estate. It is only 30 minutes from central Bangkok. Friendship Co., Ltd. has a registered capital of 147.60 million baht.
