Named for M.O. Campbell, a former Aldine ISD superintendent, this place is more than just a building. The M.O. Campbell Educational Center opened in 1996. It quickly became a first-class facility.
This facility is a hub of activity for the Aldine Independent School District. It is located at 1865 Aldine Bender Road. The M.O. Campbell Educational Center serves as the home court for basketball and volleyball. Five high schools proudly use this arena. These schools are Aldine Mustangs, Davis Falcons, Eisenhower Eagles, MacArthur Generals and Nimitz Cougars.
But the M.O. Campbell Educational Center is not only about sports. It is also used for graduations and theatrical performances. Meetings, conferences, banquets and community events also happen here.
M.O. Campbell is credited with moving the district to a cash-basis operation. The M.O. Campbell Educational Center is a multi-purpose facility. It hosts a wide array of events.
Inside, the arena boasts a seating capacity of 7,000. The arena has a Robbins Bio-Cushion hardwood floor. This is specifically designed for basketball and volleyball. A four-sided, center-mounted scoreboard keeps everyone updated.

The building is equipped with 800 tons of air conditioning. An emergency generator ensures that sound systems and emergency lighting are always operational.
Over the years, the M.O. Campbell Educational Center has hosted many significant events. These include men’s and women’s Southland Conference collegiate basketball tournaments. The Houston vs. the Nation high school basketball tournament has also been hosted here. The Texas Class 4A and 5A Region III high school basketball playoffs have taken place here as well. Moreover, the Class 5A high school Region III volleyball playoffs have been held here. The University Interscholastic League state powerlifting tournament has also been hosted at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center.
